I have taken part in the development of DbD and had the joy of facilitating groups in both Discipleship 1 and Discipleship 2. As such, my testimony comes from multiple viewpoints. First of all, working shoulder-to-shoulder with the leadership team of Discipleship By Design has been a tremendous growth experience... both spiritually and mentally. I was told many years ago that the best way to learn anything is to "teach it". This also applies to "developing it". Therefore, my role in the development of DbD gave me a much deeper understanding of the true essentials of our faith.

Previously, I had always been in the back of the room... or in front of it. In other words, I was always in the back of the room during Sunday school, or in front of the room teaching it. In either case, there was no intimate setting for sharing my thoughts or feelings. And that's what I treasure about Discipleship By Design. The setting is in a small room with no more than 6 or 7 people. And it's an excellent forum for discussing our faith, sharing feelings, and building relationships.
